Moderator maverick528 Posted November 10, 2019 Moderator #1 Posted November 10, 2019 Everybody in chat is talking about Free Spins lately, but the question is, what are the chances of getting free spins??. In this post I will try to calculate the chance to get 3 scatters (but remember that if you get 4 or 5 scatters you will also get free spins, in another post I will later make the calculations for 4 and 5 scatters). You can consider each column in the Slots game a window that allows you to see 3 elements out of a strip of paper with 30 symbols printed on it. So the chance of getting a scatter on column 1 is 3/30 or 1/10 to simplify. Column 5 is different cause it has 41 symbols printed on it, so the chance on that column is 3/41. The chance of having 3 scatters on columns 1, 2 and 3 is 1/10 * 1/10 * 1/10 and this is 1/1000. BUT we can also have 3 scatters in columns 1,2,4 1,2,5 1,3,4 1,3,5 1,4,5 2,3,4 2,3,5 2,4,5 and 3,4,5 , and any of this combinations is also good for listening to egyptian music and getting free spins. In the end, there are 10 possible positions of 3 scatters in columns, with each one having a 1/1000 chance unless it includes column 5, so the TOTAL chance of getting 3 scatters is 4/1000 for the combinations that dont include column 5, and 18/4100 for the combinations including column 5, this is 0.839% chance. On average, you should get the 3 scatters every 119 rolls. Of course , this is just an average, so you can get 3 scatters on consecutive bets, or it can take 1200 rolls or even more to get just one. I havent verified this yet, so any comments or corrections are welcome !!! Remember that you can also get free spins with 4 and 5 scatters and the chance for that combinations is not included here....
wngo123 Posted November 11, 2019 #2 Posted November 11, 2019 3 scatters every 13 rolls? You mean every 113...that is more realistic

GKD09 Posted November 11, 2019 #4 Posted November 11, 2019 I've been calculating the same ever since slots was out, and never really had time to make the post because of work But yes I can confirm your calculation might be correct, since I got the exactly same value of 0.839024%. I will soon make my post too Had some tough bits when it came to calculating the % of others, since you have many outcomes including the wild symbol.
Moderator maverick528 Posted November 11, 2019 Author Moderator #5 Posted November 11, 2019 And now, after having some rest for the mind, lets try to calculate the chance of getting 4 scatters. 4 scatters can happen in columns 1234, 1235, 1245, 1345, 2345. The 1234 combination has 1/10000 chance, all the other combinations that include column 5 have a chance of 3/41000, so the chance for getting 4 scatters is 12/41000+1/10000 and this is a 0.03927% chance of getting it. Once every 2547 rolls in average.
Moderator maverick528 Posted November 13, 2019 Author Moderator #6 Posted November 13, 2019 To complete this topic, i know you were holding your breath waiting for the chance to have 5 scatters. Well, here it is !!! Its the more simple situation to make the calculations.... The chance of having a scatter in columns 1 to 4 is 1/10, and the chance to have a scatter in column 5 is 3/41, so the chance for getting 5 scatters is 3/410000, about once every 137000 rolls average. Not an easy task .....
Ayesha0770 Posted December 8, 2019 #7 Posted December 8, 2019 Well I don't depend on scatter now. Instead of hunting 3 lines I look at my self and said: scatter 3 shows only when I reach thousand of rolls so I decided to hunt 3 lines instead of hunting 3 scatters
Dp10011 Posted January 2, 2020 #8 Posted January 2, 2020 Wow!!! Thanks for the clarification! After that, I think I'll rethink whether or not to play slots! It is too high to get 3 minimum dispersions. And yet, it's still risky to hit a payout below 10x! Good luck!
Django023 Posted January 2, 2020 #9 Posted January 2, 2020 Thanks for the calculation. I am a fan of slots and this is very useful information! Thanks mate
Stokenut Posted January 21, 2020 #10 Posted January 21, 2020 Ty for this, had been wondering how it worked
Ali saher Posted January 22, 2020 #11 Posted January 22, 2020 Ohh very nice calculation this is very helpful information for slot players
