This topic has been debated and redebated hundreds of times. Countries will begin banning it one by one until it will be banned world wide for more reasons, beginning with inability to track every owner of it, to the impossibility to tax it in any way. Countries won't support something that they can't benefit out of, so they simply will ban it. BTC and cryptos are simply a threat to each countries economy, or at least for now.

Banks owns countries.  Banks will never make the bitcoin adoption easy.  Bitcoin is the true banks enemy.  The mass adoption should come from all of us who are in the cryptoecosystem by spreading the voice and using all the tools that developers are creating for all of us to use.

Countries will never let bitcoin go easily, will set taxes, rules, laws and all kind of barriers in order to take control with the banks.  Will be a hard job, it is right now.  My country has been developing for almost two years those fintech rules to establish control with taxes and limited transactions.  Not banned so far, but with many many "stones" in the road.

Hello everyone. Hope everyone is well in hitting green. For this topic I would like to say that we all have forgotten what bitcoin was really trying to make a statement with. That was that you can make exchanges completely anonymous and decentralized That is the last thing the government wants is a have a decentralized currency in their country remember that they do not dip their hands in the pot so to speak and are not able to take tax or any part of it due to the anonymity. For example if you look in the European Union XRP is adapted as a currency for remittances. In other words there will be favored coins and bitcoin will be the last on that list.

I think gov't can't regulate and trace the exchange, that's why most country's don't accept bitcoin as legal.

Maybe because its a threat to every banks.. no one will save money or having account in any banks, and maybe banks having a profit by means of clients savings or investments not sure..

This is due to tax free income from crypto market many countries not allowed this market as legal tender so some countries allowed crypto market as legal tender such as China and UK.

its because bitcoin have no source it have no physical form and anyone with high amount of bitcoin can manipulate bitcoin price when ever he wants, thats why its not suitable for nations, but individualy its very attractive and fruitfull to use or earn.

Because every country has its own policies, most don't legalize bitcoin because the country is afraid of fiat currency they are replaced by bitcoin. So some countries even forbid their citizens from owning bitcoin, but this will not last long. Because now the growth of bitcoin is growing rapidly, sooner or later bitcoin will soon be legalized in all countries of the world.

Bitcoin is illegal in many countries. Cause btc isn't trackable by government. People can transfer it by online wallet. And they can transfer funds from one country to another by bitcoin. Bad people use crypto for dealing with their bad things. That's why maybe it's banned.

Just because it is something decentralysed that can not be easily controlled by countries governments, and it is against all the regulations that makes ur country to have the money to heal you, defend you and so on.

It's quite simple; also lazy politicians that are not able to create legislation.

But bitcoin is legal in every country except countries that do not want any control such as china and Russia, it maybe active but its heavily monitored, the kind of governments ran by the two countries, there is a possibility in that the two countries there is no much talk of bitcoin, and China is one of those country that fears external interference to their way of governing, but its absolute important to keep in the best coin that they themselves can allow, in fact china is already building up one of its own , based on yuan/

Even a schoolboy can leave a comment on this post  :) You just need to answer the question: why does each country make a profit? Correctly with the income of the population, taxing this income. BTC does not allow tracking profit. Why does the country need such a coin :)

You say right this currency not trace but I think every country know so many people use this currency so if govt provide a platform or a exchange then I think this is good for country we not give percentage to govt on exchange this currency

unprofitable for the country, impossible to track

Simpler to track than fiat, don't flatter yourself! 😀

If your gov knows your email, you're all set, can track everything you do!

Many countries say that Bitcoin is a reason for the escape of many small companies from paying their taxes and some other governments say that it is used in the dark web for illegal and immoral operations, but suppose that bitcoin was not present, does this stop the dark web and make illegal business stop؟

It's happened because no govt Still able to control the price of btc as it lead by stock market..moreover it will be harmful for a national currency... Also btc is online currency which can lead a lot of scam in a country and its bad...so many country not yet accepted btc as their money

The thing is they are going to deny bitcoins till the point where they won't have any options left , because you already know how many people are using Bitcoins and therefore the government may try to control them , it can't , it's exceptionally very very hard to control them and it is a good thing , at least for us , the thing is they see is as a threat and people see it as an opportunity , that's the difference the government is very Orthodox that I would say , it needs more president from the younger generation.

There's a lot of reason why some of country banned the bitcoin their country. We all know bitcoin is risky when comes in investment and the other reason is some of users use it to bad things like drugs and etc. And I think  that are the reason why they banned bitcoin in their country.

I think some countries doesn't allow crypto currencies because they are protecting the fiat currencies. Maybe they are still analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of having crypto currencies.

Dealing with cryptocurrencies still differs from one country to another, and the perception of this currency differs between allowing it to be dealt with, prohibited, or warning against its use, without preventing it or deeming it illegal.
Among the most prominent countries that prohibit bitcoin Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bolivia, and China, and the most prominent countries that allow bitcoin Germany, Canada, and the United States of America, and that varies according to the policies of different countries.
