There are few in my country where i live in. It was quite good invention back after the major rally where all time highs were achieved due to quick cashing out abilities of crypto. But now i think nobody uses them anymore. The crypto guys from our country to cashing out are mostly using Elipay ( GoCrypto is called now) app which is super duper easy to use and offers to pay with BTc, ETH, and their tokens automatically with low fees.. whereas bitcoin ATM machines were having about 5-7 % fee..

There are very many in my town. They are pretty cool too! Its super super cool because I have one right next to my office. One of my coworkers saw me using it one day and was confused on what I was doing. It was pretty funny trying to explain it to him, because he has no idea what Bitcoin is. Also, you can google "Bitcoin ATMs near me" and it will find some in your area. If you dont have any, it would be pretty cool to start one. I know people who own Bitcoin ATMs, it is pretty profitable.

Here in my city at least 4 of them.  Not a big Crypto community but those who are committed are doing their jobs.  Not sure if those ATM are a good business but the fact that they keep it working, paying energy, space rent and maintenance tells many important things.  I have never tried one yet, I hope I will do it soon, just to understand what exactly those machines works around the globe.  What is a fact is that, those kind of "objects" are very important to mass adoption which is the most important "feature" cryptocurrencies need to achieve.  Spread the voice.  Good luck.

I have also read articles related to this matter, indeed there are many numbers of bitcoin ATM machines. But compared to the world's population, that number is still relatively small. Including in my country there is no bitcoin ATM machine yet, even though I really hope to try using a bitcoin ATM machine.

I don't really know that there is really a bitcoin atm machine.but i wonder if the money we can withdraw to that atm machinne is a bit pin or we just need our crypto to convert to fiat begore we able to withdraw?

There is no single chain of these machines. In my country (Poland) we have two chains of these atm bitcoin and from what I heard they work very good, but I didn't use them since I prefer to buy/sell bitcoin online, it's easier. I assume around the world it is similar there are different chains that belong to different companies. So you need to ask about specific chain because I guess there are better and worse companies like with everything.

I love the idea of a Bitcoin ATM but the ones I have seen and thought about using have very high fees.  So not only does your area need to have a bitcoin atm, it needs to have a lot of them to keep fees low.

They also often have pretty strong KYC protocols and for Bitcoin, you have to wait for a block to confirm.  I actually think they would be better for other crypto with faster networks and lower TX fees.

Anyway, on balance, a very good think, check them out if they are in your area!

In India in 2018 a crypto exchange company started India's first Bitcoin Kiosk and they were having plan to set it another major cities soon, but in less than a week govt officials closed the kiosk, jailed the ceo and owner of the company and they have to go through various inquires to get their bail.  It was very fascinating to see a BTC ATM in India, but it was very short lived and I dont think we are gonna see any bitcoin atm in india soon.  Legalization of bitcoin still have to go through a long path in India.  Crypto is still not illegal in India, but Crypto is still not considered a legal tender.  Wish I can use a bitcoin ATM in India too.

From what I hear, people love those exactly because they don't ask for any verification (have to look into it more closely, I bet it heavily depends on the place), if they do, that makes them unusable like many exchanges except for Binance and Poloneix!

For me it'd take a trip to another city to check those ATMs anyway!

Idea is great, but I'd rather use online services until some ATMs will have arrived in my city and without KYC!

The statistic depicts the number of Bitcoin ATMs worldwide from February 2017 to February 2020. There were 6,674 Bitcoin ATMs globally as of February 1, 2020.  It is very interesting to observe how year after year they have increased.  There are very few in my country, and so far I haven´t used yet because I really don´t think those are useful to me.  But clearly those are a very important tool for the mass adoption that bitcoins need in order to completely success.  More information here: https://www.statista.com/statistics/343127/number-bitcoin-atms/

I hope in future I see this ATM in my country and I'm sure this currency must adopt every country. But just they need to make some rules about this . Even govt take tax on this I have no issues.
