torontofinest Posted January 24, 2020 #1 Posted January 24, 2020 Sometimes i like to keep two tabs open for example i want to play casino and then bet on sports. I notice that one tab doesn't really update the balance corresponding with the other tabs this then causes confusion. I know you guys are able to fix this where we can see our actual balance without refreshing the page like how we can see sports betting results without refreshing the screen. This thing along cost me a lot of $$$ because i had a hard time keeping track of my actual balance. Other than that this site is the best
Moderator Flan Posted January 24, 2020 Moderator #2 Posted January 24, 2020 You can go on to Affiliate Page and then going to Funds for an newest balance update for now without refreshing the site. or Do 1 sats deposit to the vault, and the balance should be on actual balance. But yeah, it kinda annoying for not having auto-refresh balance. Hope they add a Refresh Button or automatically refresh each xx minute with different page.
skywallkee Posted January 25, 2020 #3 Posted January 25, 2020 I don't think that this is really the best idea. Thinking of how many resources it might take for something that isn't really that important. Stake as I find it was made to be used on one tab, reason why they didn't implement it by now. But when it comes to the number of requests it would take, it's just not worth it. There are roughly at least 1000 users online on any moment of the day, if each user would have a auto-refresh each 10 seconds (so that it won't be instant, but somewhat close to real-time update), then there would be at least 10k requests each 10 seconds, 60k requests each minute to be made. That's amount isn't enormous to the server, but when other kinds of requests come and go, it can be pretty heavy and not worth it. So it might be a reason for not implementing it, or might not be, I don't know what kind of servers Stake has, but I'm more than sure that performance always has to come first.
