Gambling addiction

There is this good friend of mine and he has been telling me a story of his uncle who was stable in life , had a good job and everything , had built himself a good career and had children and a good home he had built, then on day when he was going home, he was feeling lucky and so he decided to enter a casino, not to far from his work place in the city , so  the first time he got fair win, and then the second and the third and the forth, before he knew it, he was addicted and at the end of it , he ended up losing his house , wife and kids, so to me, I would say lets get that position that we all have to keep our-self safe and avoid making mistakes that can cost us, limit our-self to the position of a efficient gambler. Anyone knows this case?? who has had it happen to them or either their family, friend or themselves

I have seen that for my brother. where he has gotten a good job and his wife and children are funny. but gambling destroyed it and made him owe more than $ 20,000 of office money he didn't deposit. and now the house, car and all his assets were confiscated to pay for it and he started from the bottom again

I've heard a lot about those cases, some ends up taking their own life because of depression over a huge loss. Stake never lacks the reminding people on gambling only with the money that they can afford to lose. Gambling wouldn't destroy one's life if we won't let it do so. Getting addicted means losing against the casino , figuratively.

Sorry to hear that, its very difficult to recover from that, unless a miracle from God, I hope everybody is okay now, including his family ? I have seen how one can get lost this madness but we thank God

his family has not been so kind since then, because of how someone fell from a good height. even now they have to live with their grandparents. and his mother had to work to help pay off the debt. I think as long as he is friends with the same gambling will still haunt him

Wel; yeah , there are a thousand of people who are losing in the name of making money in casinos and the best way to keep of is never start gambling, you will live a miserable person that is the point, I have a case also of someone who lost everything in that case, they lose everything they have ever owned because they could not put everything in one point

Gambling addiction very bad thing I saw so many people destroy their life's ,and so many face problems not just they their families also face. I think if you must want play gambling then just play in limits and play with your extra money.

Yes! There are many similar stories out there and even repeated cases. The game of chance is fascinating. Especially when you win for the first time.
The worst thing for a player is that the game is easy and is a short way to earn money. Then the destruction begins ...
I know several people who had a good life and enjoyed the best products. But gambling addiction took it all!
This is a big risk that is not worth taking. Playing is good, but always with caution and eyes wide open!

This is so true , because of greediness most people lose everything to gambling. I have friends who had good life but because of gambling addiction they lost everything. I had a friend that was a multi millionaire before , he was addicted to gambling he always take flight to macau to gamble , now he is with me planting and harvesting potatoes it is where all his fortune started. Lucky for me i view gambling as for entertainment only.

Yes this will happen so many gamblers.gambling addiction not good for anyone , because in gambling 95 percent people loss. Just few people win something. Just play with in limits.

addiction of anything can cause a serious problem in anyone's life thats why a balance life is necessary, in gambling if you go beyond your limits you will always end up like that, its sad to know these kind a stories that people ruin their happy life.

As everyone always posting the same topic. Addiction only exist to some people when they chase something from it being greedy isn't really not a good choice

Most who are in this thread including the thread starter are addicted to gambling in one way or another but cannot admit it. Remember that step 1 to conquering addiction is admitting that you have the addiction. Most addicts live in denial.

It is really possible in gambling addiction.

Gambling is not bad just this kind of addiction for gambling is bad.
i m gambling from nearly 2 years but never gonna gamble my house to earn money.

some people who taking such wrong decisions will gonna loose everything.
we need to control our greed and make some rules for gambling

I had my uncle pawned his spouse's wedding diamond ring just to feed his gambling addiction worth $4,000. Now he is in jail. 

This happens a lot of people who spend their time on those deceptive halls woth fine drinks and night ambiance. Check YT.

I have read stories like this too, many gambling players are addicted to losing everything they have. I still can't imagine what he was not aware of as he continued to make losses and sell all his possessions including work.

None of my family members in gambling. And I do it as fun. Always try to stay in limit though I'm addicted. But if you can't control your funds for gambling then it's too bad. Haven't seen anyone like this around me. But heard news that people lost all in gambling.

losing everything in gambling must have been caused by his greed while playing so he had to be able to give advice so that his friend could stop gambling addiction, because he could lose all the items he had.
