Selling all properties for Bitcoin

Hello guys, I just wanna share this desperate man and his family selling all their belongings just to invest for Bitcoin.

Didi Taihuttu, his wife, three kids and their cat bet all they have on bitcoin. The Dutch family of five is in the process of selling pretty much everything they own — from their 2,500-square-foot house, to their shoes – and trading it in for the popular cryptocurrency. They have moved to a campsite in the Netherlands, where they're waiting for bitcoin to really take off.

It's only been a few months, but the 39-year-old father of three says he doesn't regret a thing. "We were just like – sell it, sell it, what can we lose? Yeah, we can lose all the material stuff. Yeah, we can lose all our money. Yeah, we don't have three cars anymore. We don't have the motorcycle anymore. But in the end, I think we, as a family, will still be happy and just enjoying life."

He once mined for bitcoin, but now only trades it, along with other cryptocurrencies like ether, ripple, neo, dogecoin and XLM. The family is still in the process of liquidating assets and investing the proceeds in cryptocurrencies as they go. The income from trading is enough for food and necessities, which the family says is all it needs right now.

Taihuttu's brother, sister and in-laws call him crazy, but that hasn't stopped them from taking their experiment public. The Taihuttus are documenting their experience on social media, and they are even taking donations in bitcoin. "A lot of people have lost their faith in the current monetary system," he says. "And I think that cryptocurrency is a big alternative for those people."

The family decided to make the gamble on bitcoin this summer, after seeing its swift climb this year. It's already surpassed $5,000 a coin, and Taihuttu thinks it could quadruple by 2020. Tom Lee, head of research at Fundstrat, has made the same prediction.

In the last week, the value of outstanding bitcoin reached nearly $100 billion and surpassed the market value of Goldman Sachs. Some believe bitcoin's value will reach at least $1 trillion in less than a decade.

But even with these kinds of returns, the fact remains, a speculative asset like bitcoin remains prone to seismic price moves in a very short space of time.

"We're going through a revolution that's changing the monetary system."-Didi Taihuttu

What can you say about his desperate decision guys?

I don't understand why they did that? Was there any reason to do so?

I dunno if I would do it. BTC nor any other crypto is really stable and its a little risky.. but I think its possible to live from crypto if you know the market and trade it right (altcoins including).. but else. I wouldn't do it. Too risky.

Still I hope the best for them and that everything will work out for them <3!!!

Yeah, I really feel sorry for them too if their predictions and trust to bitcoin is wrong if bitcoin will crashed.

I think it is a stupid thing to sell everything you had to invest in Bitcoin because the price could go down or it could go up but you cant know for sure what will happen. Invest only what you afford to lose

I saw this dude on youtube the other day and I was really surprised about what he did and how confident he was in doing so xD

I hope he makes some money or his family will send him to hell :o

So far, he is lucky, but what will happen if he does not get lucky. It's terrible to imagine what his family will do to him.xD

I think it all depends on luck but if someone gonna sell their property to invest in something, he must have all knowledge in what he is investing in and whether he will go bankrupt if things don't go well. It's like a gambling, you should only put how much you can afford to lose :D but without risk there's no much gain too :P

I guess he's so bad that he has nothing to lose. So far, he was lucky. I do not know what he would do if it were the opposite.:o

Yeah hope he will not commit any grievous thing like suicide oh my god hope really not that worst thing.

How much you can afford I dont think it means selling all your properties to invest in something. Ok, you do thst but only if you are 110% that the business you invest in is going to be

With bitcoin you cant say it is a safe investment because as we can see now the price is going down. From 20.000$ to 16.500$. What if someone would have sold all their properties and buyed bitcoin when the price was 20.000$? Of course the price will come back in future but still bitcoin is a very risky investment

HI , I am Deepak Sethi . I am talking about investing business in bitcoin. Let me give some tricks that enlighten you at what time you need to say yourself more or not .

  •  suppose  you have invested $100 in bitcoin . Now you have two options whether  you play a game for multiplying  the $100 or you have to wait for longer  when your $100 become more than $100 .
  • i have just read the above people are selling their proproties for wealth .If you see example  in today's world how people has become billionaire  in the world just because of  balanced decision . I think the dutch family didn't need to sale their whole wealth reason why  they could have invested some liquid  money which ever they had .whatever they invest in bitcoin they will get more than the investment  eventually  it will add up in their current wealth . Risking your current wealth leads to nasty , dark  and uncertain  outcomes.
  • Always invest with  some because  it will not effect  current living .

Very true, If I we're them, If they manage to at least double or triple their capital already in investment, they should at least take a 10 or 20% of it and save in the bank for their own safety also.

Very risky and reckless move on his part to put his family at stake like that, gambling with their lives on such a foreign currency but good luck to him... Interesting story, thanks for the share :D

Hope they already have profit and get there properties soon. Or can even get much bigger one. A very risky decision. Lol. But we all know some business minded people always took risks. As people say no guts no glory??

I think the man is a real dumb and crazy mothe**er or a clever son of a b**ch. Now if he succeeds to make the call at the right moment, he can now buy 2 house like the previous one.

Or he can prepare himself to learn the art of begging.. Because this is what he'll do if the method gets fail..

It's really interesting and maybe I'd do something like that but not huge as that, maybe sell a car or something.... It's hard to say when you aren't on that position

Best wishes,

Have a nice day and happy holidays to you and your family

:)
