Ethereum Mining Worth It?

Hi Stimubate here! lol What do you guys think of Ethereum Mining? Do you think that it is worth doing? I know I won't get rich from it but maybe I could make some extra money, or is it worth doing only as a hobby? Check out this video I found on how to make your very own Eth Miner. Looks fun to try to make one yourself.  Tell me what you guys thinks. Know of any place online where I can find all of the items at cheap and affordable prices?

The meteoric rise of ethereum has fueled something of a gold rush for people looking to get in on the action by mining ether themselves. This requires building a custom "mining" computer from scratch, which isn't quite as hard as it sounds. 

In this how-to video, Motherboard contributor Daniel Oberhaus walks you through the step-by-step instructions for building an ethereum mining rig from the ground up. By the end of the tutorial you'll be well on your way to mining ether and contributing to the maintenance of the ethereum network with your own computing power.

(1) MSI Z-170a Motherboard - 

(2) 470rx Gigabyte graphics processing units -

(2) powered risers - 

(8) ½ in. aluminum angles -cut to 14 inches

(5) ½ in. aluminum angles - cut to 24 inches

(3) 1x2 wooden blocks - 

(1) 1000 watt Corsair power supply unit - 

(1) Intel Celeron G3900 central processing unit -

(1) 4 GB stick of RAM -

(1) power switch - 

(1) ethernet cable -

(1) 16 GB USB stick - 

(1) computer monitor -

(1) computer keyboard -

One of my friend is currently mining ETH, but i don't know what material he use.

He make more than 1 ETH every month (+ few cryptos since he mine multiple coins) but you need to cut the electricity bill out of that and a part to refund the components he bought.

He's building a 2nd rig now.

i think its hard to do this

maybe i will have somebody to assemble it and i will just buy it

Kinda interesting video you shared there. Will calculate how much it'll be costs for all those equipment. Then I'll decide whether it's possible for me or not..

If you have at least once assembled the computer yourself and understand about it, then it will not be difficult to make the farm. In fact, nothing complicated. Good luck

As always, "right now is not profitable" if you have to buy it all, specially VGAs, that are extremely expensive right now; but mine today to get earnings tomorrow.

yeah kargai is right ,mining now takes really an ample amount of electricity so is the bill to pay  ,but we dont know for this year if ethereum will continue t to bloom and if ever it surpass $2k dollars probably its really a worth mining for.

I think it would be worth it to mine like as others say might not be worth it today but in the next year or two it will become worth it. I have been mining with my pc and have not got much about 20 usd in eth. But to fair its one gpu and only small times of day or while i sleep once in a while.
