Here's and excerpt from the user guide:

THIS IS NOT A COOKIE....  THIS IS SPYWARE

Though Stake (in their wisdom) are under the illusion that I have given permission via the Generic, antiquated, outdated and quite possibly iligitimate privacy policy..

You should only record a session after getting consent from the user. Place the user consent option on a specific part of your website. For example, if you only want to record sessions of users who are on a certain page of your website, you should display an opt-in consent option on that page of your site.

It’s possible to exclude a web page from session replay recordings with “URL exclusion.” This option allows you to avoid specific website pages for session replays if you don’t want to capture user interactions on those pages.

Control who has access to session recordings based on user access permissions. This way, only those users with access to session recordings will be able to view them. For instance, you may want to allow your product team to have access to your session replays, but not the accounts department.

Common misconceptions about session replay

You might think a session replay is a video recording or screen capture of the user’s experience: it’s not. This is a common misconception as a session replay looks like a video recording. It’s really a reproduction or recreation of captured events that’s been turned into a video presentation. It’s a tool that allows you to see things from the user’s eyes, but without a camera attached to your user’s shoulders.

Another misconception is that session replays can record almost everything. You might think a session replay can capture all actions a user takes on your website. This isn’t true. A session replay cannot capture live video chats, streaming sessions, users typing on their keyboards, users clicking outside of the recorded window, users taking screenshots, any sensitive data or private information, and off-screen activities. Recording any of these events would be a serious breach of privacy.

Addressing the privacy concerns with session replay

Session replay tools need to ensure they’re addressing user privacy issues very seriously. Handling user data with utmost care is the key to building trust with users. Here are a few tips on how to address privacy concerns:

You should ensure your session replay tool doesn’t collect private and sensitive information at the recording stage or doesn’t play back the confidential information during the replay stage.

Masking protects private and confidential user data. Users entering their email addresses on your website would be confidential information. Your session replay tool should display the email address in the form of asterisks rather than alphanumeric characters, so you can’t actually view the email address without consent.

Session replay tools should not track users’ activities across the internet. They’re only meant for recording and replaying sessions on specific sections of your website. Therefore, session replay tools should not be used for advertising purposes, like the retargeting of ads.

Your session replay tool must disclose its privacy policy to users. Being transparent about your privacy policy and sharing exactly how user information will be used shows that you take their privacy seriously. Make sure you place this privacy disclosure note directly on your website, especially if you’re using a session replay tool.

I carefully read and googled additionally.  I did not find anything terrible and dangerous.  The main thing is to use a separate private browser for pronhub and you can sleep peacefully.

This cookie/spyware is extremely dangerous and if operated by someone with ulterior motives, could absolutely wreck lives

You didn't find the fact that stake can stick this on yer account without your knowledge

They can track and record for playback every single move you made on the site

They don't have a privacy policy to cover this

They can sell or do whatever they like with your data because, according to Stake, you agreed by accepting cookies.  Cookies that you were given a choice  to either accept, or accept !!

The Stake Privacy policy is Generic and obsolete..

Here is an example of an up to date ethical & legal privacy notice  which must be prominently displayed.

Not getting into this with someone who prefers to use 1000 words when 20 would do dude !

In a nutshell:

1) Stake have no authority to be using this without my "Express Permission" !

2) There are tools available with this spyware which bypass every privacy law imaginable,  They can basically track and record everything they deem fit.

There's an article here

https://www.wired.com/story/the-dark-side-of-replay-sessions-that-record-your-every-move-online/

If yer gonna give a long winded reply regarding patterns and shit...  please start yer own thread

Just want to know what makes this cookie stand out to you from other cookies.  Is it the fullstory domain?  The fs_uid?  Did you know as soon as you saw it?

I'd heard about it before, never noticed it on my account page until today when another post prompted me to check.

I've edited the above post to include a research article

This youtube video says it all :  The user boasts "it's like spying, only friendlier"

There's definitely a valid argument to be made against these kind of session recording cookies being the norm, but the reality is they are the norm.  There are literally millions of websites using fullstory tracknig cookies right now, big ones like coinbase, tripadvisor, walmart.com, netflix, airbnb...they use it because it's an extremely useful tool and "everyone else is doing it"...which means if they don't - they lose.

And really, you should know that if you're playing at a casino, the casino is tracking you.  It doesn't matter if it's an actual casino, or online.  This shouldn't be a surprise that you found a tracking cookie being used by an online crypto casino.  There are many regulated sites that are required by law to have far more intrusive tracking methods than anything a cookie could do.  (and yes it's a cookie, a first party cookie - so it's actually less intrusive than the twitter or facebook cookies, and no it's not spyware - there is a difference, and unless youre being forced to use a website, you aren't being forced to accept the websites cookies).

Ok guys, commence insults.  I'm ready.

OK...

I've been advised not to make anymore comments about this, formal

complaints (many of them) will be instigated in the next few days & it

would be imprudent of me to discuss these in public.

I will update when it OK to do so,

But I imagine this thread, and Me, will both have been removed  by then 💣

Fullstory is used as a way of further improving the user experience of a website. It's used to understand where users have issues navigating & then subsequently improve it. It's one of the reasons you'll find Stake is so well designed & easy to navigate.

You can find more information on their website: https://www.fullstory.com/

If it's something you want to block, you can do so quite easily. A Google search returned this result
