I agree to this, it makes the games much exciting :)

I think staying the old way is the best to do. Giving everyone the chance. Here are some hunters that get pretty often a good roll and others that don't. This would just privilege some players and cut out others here. Thats not an good idea.

Well they are all given a chance to hunt though

Just like in roll hunts , anyone can get lucky to hit it in just a min

Not a good idea?? Hmmm

It all comes back to what is the point of the promotion contests.  If it is to create a more thrilling environment, then yes, your idea has merit.  However it seems to me that it is more about getting people to play, and play new games, and be involved with the Stake community more.  If that's the goal, then the current approach is better.  Of course if the goal is something else, e.g. give out money, reward best players, then the best way to do it might vary.  I've never seen a statement from Stake on what they are trying to accomplish, it may be a mixture of many goals.

Good Luck!

I hunted some challenges here and some people were hitting the hunt like 500times and I didn‘t once. 500 is a little exaggerated, but I saw that a lot of times. Limiting it would only make it worse.

Good idea, I'll do that next week perhaps >.>

This idea was already used on some of the giveaways, where only the top "N" bettors that completed the task got a reward.

And for those that got into the top list the prize was also bigger the nearer they were to the top of the list.

I like this "competitive" idea.

But there was a complain that some people "hide" winning bets without posting until the last second, maybe some rule can be added that you can not post bets older than one hour for example.....

No no no, it is not "the higher the bet, the bigger the chance" but it is about hunting it first before anybody

What do you mean make it worse?

Well they can do both anyways , remember they're giving promotions very week

2 challenges per week

Example now, plinko and mines

I don't see how it would affect the idea @maverick528 as there would / will be a limited number of winners and I, honestly, think you must be really dumb to don't post your winning bet as soon as you can since, as I previously said, the number of winners are limited

I just want to add something to this great idea: What if,

  • For minimum prize pool, first 20 winners....
  • If over 30 participants, first 30 winners....
  • If over 40 participants, first 40 winners....
  • If over 50 winners, first 50 winners....

.....will receive higher share (let's say 60-70%) from the prize pool. In this way, everyone is still a winner (we don't want to be selfish! :D), and giveaway will also run until the scheduled closing time.

This idea of using a time-based race has some drawbacks, I suppose you already noticed them.

For example, when giveaways are posted Im usually sleeping, due to my time zone. But maybe for example Wilbur is in a timezone where he can see the giveaway the moment it is posted. And also other ppl on that timezone. So they start hunting immediately.

And maybe when I wake up and I see the giveaway, there are already 80 ppl that posted, so its possible that I cant even join.  Is that fair? . Even if when Im able to see the challenge there is still the chance to enter, I can never be on the first places of the list....

Now we have a week for doing this hunts, and some ppl for example depo the last day and do the hunt succesfully the last day, because they did not had the funds earlier. If we change to a time-based race, the giveaway can end in 1 day or in 2, or who knows when it ends??.

I like competitive challenges, but doing them based in time is not easy.

@Carollzinha ppl hiding bets until the last minute happened when there were race giveaways based in bet amount.

Yeah but the suggestion here is to share the prize in equal parts (if I got it right) between all those that qualify for the "top 40", "top 50" or "top whatever" list..

Also some things you seem to forget:

  • Lets pretend its a top 50.. no way to get 50 people able to win in so few hours.. even if you sleep 10h I don't really believe we can have all those winners so fast
  • I didn't read anything about taking bet amount as base for it but even if it is (I think it could be good) the main rule should be to do not edit your posts (people that do will be disqualified).. that way even if they do a higher bet later they would still need to check if that bet was posted in time to join the "top" list, otherwise only the previous bet, posted before the winners limit be reached, would count.
  • Normally users with warnings can't join those giveaways.. you are Mod and you know who is and who is not able but normal users don't.. so even if the "top" list was filled there is still a chance for people to keep joining as we know many people may not be elegible

Thats my opinion..
