WrongNumber Posted April 8, 2024 #1 Posted April 8, 2024 Over the past week iv made well over a 1000$ and recently in one session I lost 200$. I know I’m still in profit but my heart aches thinking I lost 200$… I don’t want to chase my loss and lose more but my heart tells me to go for it… what do you guys do in such a situation?
jungl3 Posted April 8, 2024 #2 Posted April 8, 2024 I'd lose the $800 chasing the $200 and then deposit everything that I could to chase the $1000 and whatever other losses I'd accrued. This is your turning point. You're smart enough to say "wait a minute" before you get an addiction that is extremely difficult to get rid of. Something in your gut or your guardian angel wants to save you from a lifetime of pain. Use your head, take the $800 and think about what you want from your future. If you still want to gamble, take a week and come back with a $20 deposit that you're willing to lose. If you want to keep playing after losing that, run fast and run far from all gambling.

nightjdp Posted April 9, 2024 #6 Posted April 9, 2024 What are the odds OP has lost the remaining $800? When you win over a $1000 then get this triggered over giving $200 of it back, there's no way you're leaving the gambling alone. Just watch Bossman Jack for perfect example of this mentality. I hope for his sake he laughed it off and is enjoying the $800 profit he has
Jules Posted April 13, 2024 #7 Posted April 13, 2024 Take your profit and be happy. Do not get stuck on lost money if overall you are up.
Maximiliano13 Posted April 20, 2024 #9 Posted April 20, 2024 unfourtunately nobody has been able to quit casino in profit. You will lose it unless you spend it on something .
Ldrakeh Posted April 27, 2024 #16 Posted April 27, 2024 If you felt bad about $200, I would just cash out. You will most likely lose more if you chase. If you do choose to go for it, good luck!
zombon_eh Posted April 27, 2024 #19 Posted April 27, 2024 I would maybe cash half and buy something. Then maybe try lowering bet sizes to stretch the winings and hope to hit something else or at least till it looks like they're heating up for you again.
Krimix07 Posted April 27, 2024 #20 Posted April 27, 2024 stay safe and try to take your 200$ back with some sport bet safe

I know it's a tough thing to do as I myself never thought I would lose it all. From this experience I've learnt one thing. Do not keep idle money with you. Make a fixed deposit at your bank or invest it somewhere. Basically don't have quick have access to the money you won. You can also buy something good with the money you won. Only regrets from this side hope you guys be smarter. Self exclusion didn't work. I came back after a week and spent it all.... it's best to spend it all elsewhere or invest it away. Cheers!

I don't know how much you've lost, if you earn a lot of money or not.. numbers don't really matter and we can lose it all.. but it helps to accept that the money is gone. I'm down high $xxx, xxx lifetime and it's gone. I've got into a lot of ridiculous and potentially dangerous situations due to this addiction over the years, and thrown away a lot of good opportunities and relationships that I won't have a second chance at, and damaged the ones that I managed to hold onto. Not to mention the time that I've wasted staring at screens whilst I was throwing the money away. I can only suggest that you get some help, even if you think you can control it. Prevention is better than a cure, but early treatment is the next best thing.

Sorry to hear about your issues. However I'm not that addicted to seek help rn. I get that prevention is better than cure but yeah Iv actually significantly reduced playing. I barely spend 50$ weekly now. But I agree accepting the fact that the money is gone is the best thing to do.
