Anyone miss the old /hack mode?

I had a sudden deja-vu of sorts... reminiscing on a period not too long ago whereby the /hack command allowed us to change the colour theme of Stake - with a dark black-green highlight theme that resembled a hacker's terminal.

Sadly I couldn't find a screenshot, so if anyone still has it please post it for me so everyone has a reference point! (especially for newer members who may not have seen it)

Anyway, my love for the /hack theme got me thinking if it was ever possible to add a true dark mode to Stake - which imho makes the entire website more aesthetically pleasing and definitely easier on the eyes for long sessions. Maybe users could be allowed to add/customise their own themes so we don't have to contend with a "dark mode" that is slightly dark blue... 😋

I don't really know if it was such a "wanted" feature as not many really used it. It was added for that contest, people used it for a few days/weeks and they just forgot about it. I'd still prefer the current dark theme over the /hack and surely over the light theme. I still remember when Stake had only the light theme which was horrible for my eyes. Maybe there will be other contests in the future that will bring similar commands :D

I actually forgot about it, but yeah, it was a fun Easter egg hidden in Stake. I never used it because it hurt my eyes, but it was still pretty cool playing around with it. Maybe Stake 2.0 will bring us some new and exciting Easter eggs :D

Tbh it was useless and it had no functionality but it was fun xD I personally never used it and only found it funny that the devs had an easter egg in chat.

I find it very difficult to see properly and it slightly hurt my eyes looking at the interface of Hack Mode too long despite it being a novelty idea on Stake. Well we can hope that Stake would continue to bring us more of such interesting and refreshing Easter eggs or Fun add-ons like these to add new flavors of enjoyment. ;)

Wow that sounds like a pretty cool feature, I'd love to be able to customize background color. I'd probably go all black lol.

I wonder what other hidden easter eggs are on Stake that aren't found yet/been found before? :o

Well to miss it you should've used it a lot that's the one thing I didn't do since I didn't like the colour variations from that. They removed it due to less usage of it and it being nit such a useful feature.

Ohh i still remember, there is a challenge and a price to people who can find the hack mode. I personally not use the hack mode, because it's not good in my eye.

I guess that there isn't right now any other Easter Egg that hasn't been discovered. Or at least, none that we are announced yet. (if you're looking for them, you at least need to know if they exist, right?) But I guess Stake will do things like this in the future, it was pretty fun :D I hope at least.

I don’t use that setting since it kinda hurts my eyes. I keep it in night mode because I have an eye problem and very sensitive to lights. Although I can see that other people really likes the hack mode.

I am pretty sure that the Hack Mode was a homage or tribute to the Matrix. It is definitely cool to an extent but usability wise not so much as the text font is rather hard to read.

Yeah, most people said that it hurt their eyes. But it was still cool to play around with, even though most people did not use it as their default backround mode.

I still remember they did a promotion on this. This feature was bought on the day of easter and the hunter who hunted the feature would get a large amount of btc i am not sure how much i guess above 0.009 BTC

I wasn't on stake when there was /hack mode, but it sounds very interesting, i would like to see the developers add it again!

Well the users didn't like it that much and they didn't use it so often just a try and then back to normal so they removed it I highly doubt it will be brought back to stake.

Well I didn’t try that I wasn’t here that time and didn’t play Stake very often that’s why I would like to experience that command, it sound quite good from here.

Having the old commands in Stake one more time maybe the new users will know how was the old Stake and maybe they enjoy it.

Seems like this thread has got pretty popular despite the subject being of lame origins :/

I’m quite surprised to see so many comment on the contrast hurting their eyes. I mean, only way that happens is if you play 12+ hours continuously without blinking OR you have gotten quite old without realising and can no longer adapt to cool, youthful colours that would have otherwise made “Black+Neon Green is the new red” a thing again...

P.S. tried looking through Google photos to see if I’d have any screenshots of random wins on /hack mode stowed away for showing people that have not seen it yet... somehow there was none. 😔
