Thank you Badger for bringing up this topic, I was too disappointed why on regular days we received bonuses on our email. But how come on this special season for giving and sharing we did not receive any? It's not about the amount but the spirit of giving and giving each player the feeling of appreciation as a member of stake community. Anyway Happy New Year to everyone and wishing you success and good health for the whole year through.

This is a casino, you are not entitled to any freebies. Any giveaways that Stake hosts are purely out of their generosity. What world do you live in where you genuinely expect handouts, regardless of what time of the year it is? I don't see my local store, or any other store giving me free stuff this time of the year.

Well means we are living in a different world. In the world where I live even a small stores give you freebies if you are a regular customer. As I have mentioned it's not about the amount that is worth it but the token of appreciation that counts. A small message on each member's email means something special. When talking about bonuses does it means money to you? There are many things to give as bonus a special card or greetings is consider a bonus. My apology if you think that way. But I am definitely sure we don't live in the same world.

ha this thread was fun to read. Thought I'd update with my take for this year!

props to badger for raising it in the first place, I thought badger's post was fairly well balanced!

Irena's summary of everyone was funny, and I love the way no holds were barred!

One thing that irks me is when people talk about 'free money' - promo's are not giving away free money. They are giving back to the community, part of what the community has given Stake. I love stake, but this is just one thing that always irks me lol. Stake does not give away free money, if it did, it would be bankrupt and we wouldn't  be here.

I do think the Christmas challenge raffle could have been designed so that all could participate and expect to earn something nice instead of just high rollers.

It's simple poker sites do it all the time.

This is a rake race at Unibet for instance (which essentially is what the raffle is, a race to wager the most)

image.thumb.png.405fb4ad7b970e8a97dd0c755f6fdfb6.png

They have three tiers, low medium and high.

Low gets say 15% of prize pool,

Medium gets 25% of prize pool,

High gets 60% of prize pool.

Don't know exact numbers but you get the idea.

So if you wager up to a certain amount you are in low tier, wager more in medium tier, and highest wager's move into high tier.

....

That being said, Stake support put a tonne of effort into challenges! Support here are hands down the best I've experienced on any site. It's a really unusual thing to be honest, it's like they are players and we can talk and have fun with them in chat, just like we would any friend we have in the community - yet they are also always professional and provide first class support. This must be an insanely hard balance to strike, but they do it day in day out.

The regular challenges also obv have a tonne of effort put into them also, and are always fun and creative , spooky halloween etc. Always great themed and it makes it fun if you fancy a wager or bet on the site.

I do think the challenges are hard to complete (the couple I've tried) but I think this is just natural, they have to be, as there are a lot of players in Stake now. It would be pointless to make the challenges super easy, and then everyone completes them and each person wins 1 sat lol.

Also I think we need to consider how frequent the challenges are on Stake, there seems to be one every week for instance. No other site does challenges this regular, so useful to keep this in mind I think.

----

The amount of times I've fucked up in chat before, and Support have been patient and helped me, of course I'm a bit biased. But for whatever our personal reasons I think we all love support and the work they put into things here, they make the place fun. I don't think anyone meant that to get lost in translation anywhere in the thread (and I don't think it was!).

I do think for the major challenges like the raffle that happen once every now and again tiered system would be better where everyone has a good chance of winning something, like the Unibet tiered race for instance.

But Stake support really do rock, and they put a tonne of effort into everything, that's always clear, and one of the main things that will always keep us coming back I think, apart from our friends in chat.
