iamsheikhadil Posted September 23, 2019 #1 Posted September 23, 2019 Alts are allowed on stake. But they aren't allowed on forum. Stake and all other crypto sites demands player to be atleast 18 to play. I don't think KYC is necessary to gamble, but for forum participation, it maybe implemented. It will severely reduce alts here posting garbages to make some more satoshis and spamming the whole stuff. Plus, only kyc verified users may be allowed to participate in forum giveaways and Eddie's streams on forum rewards! What do you think?
Buxlobai Posted September 24, 2019 #2 Posted September 24, 2019 I think that is not necessary. This is just a game, why documents?Until the world community accepts cryptocurrency as the main payment-I think it’s not worth introducing identification.
SLFJ Posted September 24, 2019 #3 Posted September 24, 2019 Nah, I don't think it's necessary either for them to go through this proccess, seems like just a waste of time, I guess, better invest the time for something better, such as improving things, fixing bugs, etc.

Just for the forum account. Not the casino. But now I believe that it can bring harm to players specially if kyc is leaked or hacked which can bring serious consequences to gamblers.
Support Katarina Posted September 24, 2019 Support #5 Posted September 24, 2019 Greetings! We don't have an obligatory verification when it comes to some official documentation, but we do have the right to ask for it if we suspect someone is perhaps underage or if they are abusing our system in any way (for forum, this mainly refers to the giveaways and challenges).

That's interesting. I thought that kyc stuff is totally eliminated. Thanks for the info Kat. I kind of wish that forum users to enter giveaways should produce some kind of identity etc but still those have downsides too! But every system has exploiters so yeah, we can't do really much about it ever!
sheenazbay Posted October 3, 2019 #7 Posted October 3, 2019 I don't think that's necessary, because the staff will know which is the main account and which is the alt account, and they work well by banning alt accounts one by one to participate in the forum, so you don't need to worry, the staff will be watching over us all
Mahdirakib87 Posted October 3, 2019 #8 Posted October 3, 2019 I don't think so. And people under 18 shouldn't gamble also.
nuuuitsjdragon Posted October 3, 2019 #9 Posted October 3, 2019 If this is solely for the purpose of preventing alts, it is not necessary as I believe Stake has their ways of preventing abuse(s) of higher order. Even if there are players who manage to get past that detection, by making the effort to multi-account for this amount of reward - they kind of deserve it lol.
celeng Posted October 3, 2019 #10 Posted October 3, 2019 I don't think there is a need to do kyc, the same person has more than 1 forum account if he uses 1 device that can be detected from an ip / mac address
Kinou Posted October 3, 2019 #11 Posted October 3, 2019 Hello, I don't think is useful to verify the identity. Like @celeng said if they see more than 1 account on 1 IP, he can be banned . And if all of the people have to send their documents it will take a long to verify lol. Kinou.
cryptofly Posted October 3, 2019 #12 Posted October 3, 2019 Maybe will be enough to post a picture with date and user name in a paper sheet in a montly, bi-monthly basis. I don´t think a full KYC procedure is needed for this forum as we are not trading or moving such amount of coins.... my opinion. Good luck
wngo123 Posted October 3, 2019 #13 Posted October 3, 2019 to participate in the forum? Are you kidding me? Seriously? Why would anyone want that to happen? I don't understand people who want to just complicate things. Is it really that bad on the forum that you need such thing? What is wrong in the forum in your opinion?

I think that necessary for prevent an issue due multiple account on forum. Strongly enough for verify an account forum have personalize. I wish that happens so admin can make this forum normal again like before.

FotisNt Posted October 4, 2019 #16 Posted October 4, 2019 Well, not really, staff most times is able to track alts so it is not necessary at all. Also forum would lose it's traffic since many users may don't want to disclose their IDs online.
Iva104 Posted October 4, 2019 #17 Posted October 4, 2019 KYC for the forum but not for gambling? Does not make much sense
