Hello stakers!

Recently, while I have been gambling I have been finding that after I win a little and build up, if I take a break and let the adrenaline calm down I play smarter and build up more often.

Do you guys take breaks while you gamble, in that I mean you get up from your computer and do something else with your time. I have a lot of trouble doing this because im addicted and when I have balance I just want to continually use it constantly!

Anyways, thanks for all your inputs, I look forward to reading them.

Have a great day! :D

Hey!

I totally get you - fellow addict here :)

Breaks are the most important part of us trying to make this addiction at first into something bearable and ultimately fun as gambling should only be!

If you don't take a break and continue greed on your winning you'll always end up busting. The key is to try and make a goal for each day, or at least a "session"

If you reach that goal, that's it - end the session, better yet end the DAY and do other stuff on that happy feeling of win. Now... That's the easy one... The hard one is to not over-depo when losing to recover. That's the most hard for me that I can never achieve and end up hard-quitting for months just to get away :)

Never spent more than couple hours a day, more than couple days a week - and never ever play more than you can lose. Always keep in mind that if you gamble, you'll end up losing some money in the end - make sure you can afford to lose that money and try make it fun :)

Hey Sped! hope you good bro. I think breaks is a good idea, and we should take them regular.

But while the chips are flowing it's not always easy to take breaks, because you just get caught in the moment sometimes don't you.

Yeah I agree adrenaline is less after taking a break, so it's good to take a break, but we need the discipline to do it 😄

Not often enough, but when I do it usually has a positive impact, as it kind of resets me — when I just keep playing and playing for hours on end, it usually ends with me tilting at some point when I lose focus and/or get sleepy/impatient and bust everything I’ve been slowing grinding up within a matter of minutes. Breaks seem to combat this outcome & I’m trying to make a habit of taking them more regularly when I play.

Usually, what I do is I log off once I got the goal I needed for the day. Recently, I am experiencing this awkard repetitve scenario that seem to be a nightmare for me. Since the first timme this happened, it then got stuck on my mind, and whenever I play I randomly have this on my mind from time to time. The scenario is like this. For example, you are playing with BTC. And for BTC the minimum amount for you to be able to withdraw is 0.002 BTC. Right? Since I am not really a big depositor nor a high roller. I would mostly deposit 0.0001 or 0.0002 BTC. When I am able to get close to the minimum withdrawal amount like really close, let's say 0.0019 BTC. That will be the start of my misery. Whatever I do. Whatever I plan. Every game I try to play just to try and stop this curse but I can't make it to the minimum. I tried all possible things. Like for example I just needed 10k satoshis to be able to withdarw. I would bet 10k satoshis on wheel but I would end up making the balance even lower because instead of getting x2 multiplier so I can withdraw, I will have 4 or 5 consecutive x0.00. If I am lucky, 1 of those 5 hits will be replaced by x1.5 hahaha! This has been continually happening to me lately, randomly. I guess its on my mind set so I don;t know what kind of mind set I should have in order for me not to suddenly think about this idea because I will end up overthinking on it and will really happen in real. Sadly. Anyone who has this kind of experience?

Cheers.

Hello there Sped ,

This is so true its better to take breaks after losing or winning a certain amount in gambling . Let oneself calm down first and reorganize strategies , there are times when we win and we just go on without thinking that theres a house edge that eventually hits when we go bigger bets . Taking a break after a certain lose is really a good thing to do as you can weight the pros and cons if your wanting to take revenge and deposit , you could realize things and decisions you havent think off when you were betting.

I feel you. I usually can't stay away from gambling while I have the balance and if there is a challenge or something interesting happeninig I can't seem to do any other stuff once I get home.

However, when I end up losing a lot more than I anticipated or when I bust ofc, I end up taking breaks, which does help though. The breaks make you realise that its just a game and also you shouldn't have done what you did.

Sometimes when you lose and you don't want to continue losing but you can't help it you should take a break. By that I mean force your self out of it and do anything. Many times I was called by my family and that helped me not double losses n keep playing. :)
