nuuuitsjdragon Posted December 26, 2019 #1 Posted December 26, 2019 There are many other establishments that I've visited - each with their own level of limiting options for player accounts at Stake. Some of the self-limit options include: Self-limit for a certain time-frame, disallowing login(s) into the account until the time is up. *Very useful in fiat casino(s) when tiding over the waiting time for withdrawals. Self-limit for deposits, preventing the player from depositing more than X amount in X time. *Useful when you still wish to visit the website/participate in events without being tempted to deposit. Self-limit for play-time, preventing players for playing more than X time on entire website, or more than X time on any specific game. There's usually an optional choice of enabling pop-up warnings when play-time is almost up. ------ I know there are many players out there who can have an ironclad will, or have their own ways to self-limit such rudimentary urges. For those players, please share some personal tips on self-limiting. For those (like myself) who have issues with self-control, would you guys prefer limiting options to be available at Stake?
Aazzah Posted December 26, 2019 #2 Posted December 26, 2019 hey there, I can normally control myself when gambling. But sometimes, i do need a bit of help when knowing when to stop. I can normally manage to do that myself but it honestly depends on if i lost anything before that.
williamshennie9 Posted December 27, 2019 #3 Posted December 27, 2019 I do not think it is the casinos responsibility to implement this stuff to help addicted people. Banning addicted people should be the only way to cut out gambling in my opinion. Bits here and there will not cure addiction.

I think that the max bet feature can be a killer or a winner for you. If it was completely disabled on your account and you couldn’t have the option to add it again, that would be the most useful for me. You will still be able to manually type in how much you want to bet. This will mean that when you type it in, if you were about to do a large bet, you might be more put off from doing it. Also, a feature on the site that automatically converts your crypto to an estimated amount of dollars, will be the best implication on the site. Sometimes, doing large bets in crypto might not seem as big as it was, if the currency was to be in a real world value e.g. USD / Euro / GBP.
skywallkee Posted December 27, 2019 #5 Posted December 27, 2019 You know... A casino's job is to attract people and to make them stay as long as possible. If they would implement things that would be the opposite of it, then it wouldn't be a casino anymore. Vault is more than enough to help you manage your gambling needs. If not, then Stake has links to gambling addiction help at the bottom of the page and users should use that one too. I strongly believe that hoping a casino will help you retain yourself will only make you move to another casino, not actually help you in any other way. Even if a casino implements all the limits listed above, you still have a gambling addiction which needs to be fulfilled and how other than trying another website? Stake and any other company wouldn't make a move that is labeled as 100% in loss of their clients just because some of the clients think they know what they want, without actually thinking about it.
Ali saher Posted December 27, 2019 #6 Posted December 27, 2019 No I not want any limit without limit I feel good and play good because if on stake any limits then you must calculate before play big game if there is no limit so play relx and not think about this
evet Posted December 27, 2019 #8 Posted December 27, 2019 I don't want limits lol Even if I have i would want to be removed. I want to go beyond my limits without restrictions. If I lose then so be it. But I don't wanna feel like I'm chained or something lol
mhasandx Posted December 27, 2019 #9 Posted December 27, 2019 From what i think. If you can not control yourself while betting , then you should not bet at all. You are responsible for your decision to bet. If your heart tells you to not to go. then you be stop betting from the time being. wait for some refreshment
htetaungxx Posted December 27, 2019 #10 Posted December 27, 2019 As for me, I don't have any control on betting in casino. But mostly when I winnig, I set 1 target and if reach I stop playing it. But when I'm losing, I usually I didn't stop untill to get back my balance or go busted.
Nicol3 Posted December 27, 2019 #11 Posted December 27, 2019 I'd rather not set any limit for my game play. I just don't fimd it suitable for me. Because as far as I know based on the casino's I have signed up before where you can set limits on your game play, it would be a disaster if you are in the start of recovering when suddenly you can't play anymore because you have set a limit. That would really be something annoying as for me. So as I said I'd rather not. Anyways Kuya @nuuuitsjdragon, I would like to congratulate you for winning the 1st place on LCB.org Christmas contest. I was right as I told you on the other posts. You are really born as a winner. I only was able to place on the 8th spot but still thankful though I do not really know what the free video poker apps (Google Play) as my prize is all about. Hahaha! Congratulations for the $100 LCB chips. I also won last month for the Thanksgiving celebration contest and won $100 and I am so happy with it I was able to cash it out with BTC and ETH cash items though they limit the amount you can cahs out and you have to buy atleast 5$ worth of casino chips for between each $25 crypto youre gonna purchase in the shop. But still happy cause its free. You nailed it again. Kudos! Happy New Year!
Ayesha0770 Posted December 27, 2019 #12 Posted December 27, 2019 For some people yes but for me no I do have a self control within me I stop whenever I don't feel good at playing games i vaulted what I earn it's simple it's just that people are too greedy enough to chase the amount they want and once they reach that amount they want more and it will cause the opposite that they expected
wyj1306 Posted December 27, 2019 #13 Posted December 27, 2019 It really is a great option for people who can't control themselves at the time of betting, I don't need something at the moment, but in the past it would have been good. I hope to see this option here in the future.
Hoffguy Posted December 27, 2019 #14 Posted December 27, 2019 Yes I think this would be good, this is very similar to thread blueprints made yesterday Maybe good to merge them
Omerfrom02 Posted December 27, 2019 #15 Posted December 27, 2019 Many players and most of us when we make some good big balance while winning and reaching our point we get greedy and then lose all our profit and balance many times. At some point we all bust it's a casino so you won't win everytime while betting :p I have busted many time big balances etc but at the end I don't regret or hate stake ;p It would be very helpful for players to have an option to set a profit limit so it would stop on that profit :)

I hope to see this option here in the future. Not only that, but many strategies require a lot of prerolls, which can take very long with rate limits in place. So I think removing the rate limits is the best solution to help people use strats.
Dimitris09 Posted December 31, 2019 #17 Posted December 31, 2019 I'd rather not set any limit for my game play. I just don't fimd it suitable for me. i think no limit is the best for me i got myu own limits
Dp10011 Posted December 31, 2019 #18 Posted December 31, 2019 Good idea! Maybe in the future the stake will include it here, but I think for now there is not much interest in it. It's really a great choice for people who can't control themselves at the time of betting, I don't need anything at the moment, but in the past it would have been nice. Many websites out there already have this tool. But for an addicted player where you are limited you will always find another place where you have no limits. Control must come from the player and not from the casino.
sheenazbay Posted January 6, 2020 #19 Posted January 6, 2020 I don't think I need some boundaries to help withstand my uncontrollable impulse. I will face all the risks in gambling. losing and winning is a risk in gambling. I'm not afraid to lose
Etude Posted January 6, 2020 #20 Posted January 6, 2020 Yeah I do think that Stake should , or as I heard that they will indeed soon be imposing some kind of self exclusion options for Stakers who cannot really control their urges on certain games, casino and so forth. This is a good safety measures for those who felt that the only way to stop themselves is to use the self exclusion option from their worst fear / game.
blockbet Posted January 6, 2020 #21 Posted January 6, 2020 I think the limit function should have a variable that locks your account for a specified period of time after a certain amount of loss that week or month. IMO this would be the most helpful functionality pertaining to setting account limits for responsible gaming. Im sure people will be able to find a way to get their account unlocked, but I think more than that the point is to many it a hassle to do so. This way, you have time to think before you act on impulses and addiction.
