Seoulmate Posted January 29, 2020 #1 Posted January 29, 2020 This is a nice illustration, I think it would be good if some of this Illustration style was integrated a little more into the games themselves. I have heard a few people say that stake looks a little bit childish, which I'm sure isnt the designers intention. I think this is because of the primary colour pallet and the simple shapes used. I notice the illustration above avoids that colour palette. The illustration above reminds me of the esports logo style, which might be a more appropriate type of styling for Stake's target market. Merge the traditional casino visual language with contemporary e-sports styling should produce a unique look that resonates a little more with Stake's market. This could then open up possibilities in the whole merchandising side of the stake empire. Has anyone else any views or considered this?
Thepug Posted January 30, 2020 #2 Posted January 30, 2020 I think that this illustration could be hinting towards the animation for the new slots game mode. It would be nice to see some unique animations on the site and what they have done could be incorporated in to these new games. I think that the issue with stake is that a lot of the games do seem to be a bit too child friendly and appealing to children. They usually look more like a “game”, compared to a gambling game mode, which they should be. But, I do like this concept and I think that it makes Stake unique. They created their own game modes and took the time to code them, compared to hiring an external site to make and control all of the games for them. Maybe, the animation could be developed to look more like a casino, but the fun style is always going to make stake look unique.
sheenazbay Posted February 7, 2020 #3 Posted February 7, 2020 I don't think childish stake, even in my opinion your childish illustration. In my opinion, the appearance of stake is quite elegant in my eyes. Stake created their own game mode and maybe the animation could be developed to look more like a casino, but I think Stake is good
ScooterPi Posted March 2, 2020 #4 Posted March 2, 2020 That's one of the things that I love about Stake's visuals. They are simple and attractive. I don't like playing on sites that have too much "going on" visually. The way that Stake is formatted makes it easy to look at and concentrate on the games I'm playing
Dp10011 Posted March 2, 2020 #5 Posted March 2, 2020 I like to play on sites with a clean and simple look like the stake. There are a lot of good casinos out there, but there is huge visual pollution. They give me agony in the eyes. The stake is very objective in this regard. A while ago a comment came out here that this was a possible animation for the new slots. But nobody knows for sure.
alexjpro12 Posted March 2, 2020 #6 Posted March 2, 2020 I think that it looks really great, they look alot like CSGO teams names and they should be implemented on this website as soon as possible, that is just my opinion, but i think it looks really good!
Ayesha0770 Posted March 3, 2020 #7 Posted March 3, 2020 I agree on that 😂 seriously some icon looks like a picture of kids game. They should put some effort and change the logo of every game 😂
cryptonesiac Posted March 3, 2020 #8 Posted March 3, 2020 I love Stake's graphics, both for the games and the ones used for challenges or promotions... They have a real good graphic designer working for them, many kudos to him/her/them
SLFJ Posted March 17, 2020 #9 Posted March 17, 2020 The first illustration style is very good and I'd like it to be the stakes logo or even something larger, stake designers and artists make an amazing job designing things and challenges on forums, it doesn't look childish at all.

Also I think it is way more important that the game mechanics work good, then that the games look good. I really prefer the simple style here though, because it doesn't distract too much from the actual gambling. Whether you like or dislike the current graphics used on site is irrelevant, everyone has an opinion regarding their own personal likes or dislikes. Design decisions should never ever be made on the basis of "like" or "dislike". The simple fact is that stake are using a particular visual language in their promotion material, a style that they have determined is appealing to their market so it is logical that this should harmonize with the website graphics as consistency equates to reliability in brand psychology. The important thing is that the visual styling is consistent but flexible enough that it allows for future development (evolution), Stake will have to refresh their visual styling every 2-3 years for branding purposes regardless of any one individuals personal likes or dislikes.
Xylber Posted March 17, 2020 #11 Posted March 17, 2020 eSports logos are for teams, not for companies. I understand if people on Twitch uses them, but you can't see any "serious" company using team logos based on NFL or NHL. But I agree with you in the choice of the color palette. When Stake was released, the color palette was much more colorful and happy (do you remember the sky blue?): And the sister site PRIMEDICE has a more elegant approach with a desaturated blue coloring. After the revamp, they inverted the approach, they gave a more serious "desaturated dark blue" to Stake; and a more happy "blue/orange" coloring to Primedice: (old vs. new style) Primedice current design is fantastic; I think Stake should be like the current Primedice, and Primedice should have a more "premium/elite" coloring with dark grays instead of that electric blue. IN that way, you recover that contrast both companies had before the revamping (Stake=fun, Primedice=premium)
wyj1306 Posted March 18, 2020 #12 Posted March 18, 2020 I also think Stake's illustrations are great and I don't see anything wrong, of course they could really add some more styles focused on each game, with some different movement or design, but if it continues as it is, I don't see any problem either.

Consistency and flexibility is what is important when managing a visual identity. Stake are already using illustration of this nature: Its style is reminiscent of esports logos, if they going to use this why not bring it into the website also.

It will need to evolve over time. Otherwise it will appear that stake never change.
sahil777 Posted March 18, 2020 #16 Posted March 18, 2020 its a good idea, but there are stake developers and i think they have more better ideas than us, and the other thing this site cant take high quality visual effects, its already laggy and buggy more burden means more damage towards site, ist they need a very powerfull server.

That's true but the image below is the work of Stakes' designer/illustrator. One image is pretty much the same as the next when it comes to server loading, so it would not make any difference:
jamesbond Posted March 18, 2020 #18 Posted March 18, 2020 I think current graphic and theme are fine, they are eye pleasant and not too colorful that makes stake different than other too colorful gambling sites. There is everywhere something is going on at those sites, too much animations just distract, simple and sober is best. There is nothing childish in this. I would love to see what stake devs come with new slot and with new animations, but wants it to be simple and not too bold.
Lilang Posted March 19, 2020 #19 Posted March 19, 2020 In my opinion, the look of the stain is quite elegant in my eyes. Steak has created their own game mode, and perhaps the animation can be developed to look like a casino
reebox Posted March 20, 2020 #20 Posted March 20, 2020 Very good design, friend, I will only give input if what you make really looks like a child and the old one looks more attractive
BidaManEris Posted May 11, 2020 #21 Posted May 11, 2020 I agree to this, but the Stake branding already gives its own style that's outstanding to others. Its deceptively childish theme makes people think at the back of their mind around it that everything is actually meek and easy to "Play Smarter" around here but for all we know it is definitely not.
