Maxbet1 Posted August 27, 2023 #1 Posted August 27, 2023 Tik now I was not believing huge bets not made by people on there account. Today I became victim of this. Grinded my account to 10k than went into slots than see my balance is 29$ I immediately went to stake support They told me I placed bet and I lost. Than they showed me screenshot of last 3 bets of 160LTC which was winner 155 ltc and rest 165 ltc. I have not made any bets and support says its our responsibility to secure account. I am so done. I am 80k down on account and this was huge amount. I have attached some screen shot. I know people will say I made the bets and I lost but I have seen this on forum before . I am so devastating. I am in difficult situation due to this
Jihoona Posted August 27, 2023 #5 Posted August 27, 2023 how did you get hacked? did you even put a 2fa in your account?
ralfonso Posted August 27, 2023 #6 Posted August 27, 2023 I'm pretty sure that bonus email is fake and yes, could be that you were hacked. Most common question out there: Did you have 2FA enabled?
Maxbet1 Posted August 27, 2023 Author #8 Posted August 27, 2023 I had 2FA on. I am devastating. They restricted my account. All I want is level up and cashout and forget stake. I am 1.49 percent away from plat 4 but my account is on restricted mode

Jeebus Posted August 27, 2023 #12 Posted August 27, 2023 Damn. could it be that someone from Stake logged in and spent the money so they don’t have to pay out? 😕 If you have 2FA literally nobody but Stake employees can have a way of getting in your account. sad to say, but that money is gone bro..whataver the real reason is
apox1337 Posted August 27, 2023 #13 Posted August 27, 2023 It appears as if someone has phished your data, and the loyalty email is a phishing email? Or was it a legitimate email from Stake? If it was a phishing attack, it's your fault and don't expect a recover.
Jihoona Posted August 27, 2023 #14 Posted August 27, 2023 maybe you are login into a phising website and did you check the sender email from that account correctly?
maxisl Posted August 27, 2023 #16 Posted August 27, 2023 This situation happened to me at their previous site( primedice ) I had more than 18 thousand dollars but he played in my account and then transferred the remaining amount And he wrote on global chat I completed the process and got my daily reward

I am in difficult situation due to this seems like you got phished. I recieved a similar email shortly after winning huge on stake, but I was suspicious due to it coming from not the default stake email address. I rechecked with stake support and they told me it is phishing, so good I did not click it at all, they also said with 2FA you are theoretically safe. @Maxbet1Now if you really have 2FA in and still got your stuff stolen, you should assume that they have infiltrated your computer and possibly also your mobile device(s)
Shaque Posted August 27, 2023 #18 Posted August 27, 2023 Unfortunately, seems like a classic case of Pass-The-Cookie attack which you have fallen into by clicking a malicious link from a fake bonus email.
BGjack1 Posted August 27, 2023 #19 Posted August 27, 2023 I don't understand why haven't you checked the current login's yet . You can see from where the "hacker" is located with ip address
Finntastic3k Posted August 27, 2023 #20 Posted August 27, 2023 What is the craziest about this story is, that his 10.000$ limbo 2x actually was green 😍 what a nice double up

Unless he has also provided the MFA codes. I understand your point. While the phishing email itself might directly steal cookies, it could potentially allow unauthorized access to the account using any stolen cookies. However, the cookies would only facilitate logging into the account, which could already be achieved if the attacker had the information entered in the phishing email. The real issue here is the 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) challenge, as it requires confirmation via the mobile device. Therefore, there must be some form of compromise on the mobile device as well. In conclusion, logging in using stolen cookies is indeed feasible, but that doesn't address the 2FA dilemma
