Pay For Our Mods

Hello everybody!

So most, if not all, of us are aware that Stake 2.0 is a work in progress. We're getting a lot of new designs and some game-modes are even getting cheeky little tweaks!

All of us are excited for the new and improved Stake. However, there has been something on my mind for some time now, and I think there isn't a better time to address it other than now.

Our beloved chat Moderators work hard everyday. Ones such as @maverick528, @ThugStream, @rack001, @Shinjo, @dose, @Kristoffff and many more are online almost everyday and are keeping the chat in check. They reply to messages that players send them regarding complaints, bugs, and doubts and help regarding the site. Our mods have to have one eye on the chat all the time and even though they aren't payed for this, they are sincere and dedicated to their duties. Don't get me wrong, I have NEVER once seen a mod complain about not getting paid or anything at all in fact! They are doing their jobs insanely well and they deserve more than they get.

I think - I'm sure I speak for 90% of the players - that Stake moderators deserve to get paid for the amazing job that they do.

Stake 2.0 must not only be about improved gameplay or improved gamemodes and site UI, but also about a better work environment and a better place for mods, players and all alike to be! I think Stake 2.0 should introduce pay for mods according to the hours that they fulfill every week. It is very hard to put a price tag on what they do for the site, but just to make it a better experience for them, it should definitely be introduced. Please @Edward and @Dan. I (and most others) request you for this.

I do not know under what agreement they were given the title of "Moderator". But I surely think the agreements need to be altered for good now.

Guys please tell me what you think about this. Before the launch of Stake 2.0, we must show our love for our mods and help them for a better moderating experience here ❤️

A humble request from the players of Stake.com :)

I'd rather not disclose the names, but I had talked to a few mods and asked them how much they get for modding. They said they don't get anything but they are happy doing it. I felt like they should get something and so I made this post. I hadn't known some do get paid. I took the word of mods. Sorry if I am ill-informed :/

I am not 100% sure but 99% sure the old mods get paid since I remember a post mentioning that " mods will get paid later on " ( not exact words but similar ).

I've seen Support paying them 200,000 Sats every so often so I'm sure they do get paid, I can't clarify that but I'm sure there is a form of incentive being a moderator. I would happily moderate for nothing but you know, mods do a great job!

That fund for rain!

Exactly. I doubt they get to keep any of it. But all these rains that mods do, they are all funded by Stake

Getting the blue M tag plus gaining admins, support and other mods' trust is already a privilege, I consider it as a lifetime payment. Also, most of the moderators, as far as I know, volunteered for the position and agreed that there will be no payment.

And just to be clear, the 0.002 BTC being sent to us, moderators, by Support team is for rain fund. That is the fund we use for random tipping and prizes for roll hunts, trivia and other chat games.

I believe the mods do get paid, I think they get 200,000 sats per week, but that could just be for trivia, rains, etc. I really appreciate the work that they do, so I always love it when people tip mods, since it shows the community's appreciation for them :)

The Satoshi's they get is just for rain as you said they also can use it to do giveaways during the stream and just for basic rains.

I believe that the coins given away by streamers x moderators came from their own pocket

I am not speculating or offending ( please don't take ot in an offensive way ) once in Shinjo's stream I won a 10,000 Satoshi's giveaway and he didn't tip me from Sheep but from Shinjo so I thought that 200,000 Satoshi could also be used for the stream giveaways. Please don't take this in an offensive way.

I believe streamers do get paid separately, they are paid to stream content for Stake. So unless it has changed, I assume the streamers still get paid to stream Stake content, and host giveaways :)

Umm yeah that would make more sense since I saw once Mirela tipping Shinjo MrJokker and Gennady and some more people. So yeah they don't use that 200,000 Satoshi's that's more believable.

Well our beloved moderator replied and told us about that, I think mods should get paid for their time that they spent here with us, it's kinda offensive for them.

I know some of them do it voluntarily but that's a job that requires time and it's not easy to manage the chat clean the beggars, passives, get reports and take care of them etc etc.

I am not sure, but i heard regular mod get paid $100 per week!

That wouldn't be true if it was 100$ per 2 weeks then it's fine but 100$ for a week is too much imo but it's stake so I guess it's not big for them ;)

I really thing moderators deserve to get paid and it was a really good idea to bring it up cause maybe this way they might get something. You are right , they work hard eveyday and deserve something at the end of the day!

Seems like a good suggestion to stand out from other online crypto-casino that does not offer such perks as salary. This might increase the chat moderators motivation too to keep performing an excellent duty.

Being a Moderator is a privilege. They earned the titles. It isn't a job to apply for.

Maverick528 deserves payment though.

Yes, i think streamers get rewards/paid once a week and it's more than 200,000 sats depends on how many viewers (cmiiw).

This is a good discussion, of all the casinos that I attend only 1 makes payments to the Mods, so if the Stake team is paying the Mods for their time, this to be congratulated, this really is a great incentive for the great work do they do, but if they do not pay anything then this post is coming up on time because they really deserve it.

cute idea but id have to say no to this one. moderating chat is not that hard to do especially at the level of professionalism/maturity  at which some of these mods show. ive seen mods just be total dicks for example muting a non english speaking person for chatting in the wrong room without even any attempt to take the right approach like using google translate to let them know hey youre in the wrong channel. maybe they are new and dont know they can change chat channels. and if they dont speak english how do you expect them to read your english when you say hey youre in the wrong channel. if i were the one that got muted for such bs that would drive me way far away from that site. i just dont think they should get paid. maybe @wryy is eligible but thats about it.

It is not so easy to be a moderator, imagine you exchange your free time to be taking care of a room with hundreds of people, sometimes mistakes are made, but mistakes always happen to everyone, but they always try to do a good job .
